Studio Policies

Payment, Attendance, and Lesson Expectations

These guidelines help create a consistent and supportive learning environment for every student. Please read through them before beginning lessons.

Payment

Payment is due at the end of each lesson. No lesson package or advance payment is required.

Regular Attendance

Students are encouraged to attend lessons consistently each week at their scheduled time. Regular attendance helps build strong practice habits and steady musical progress.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Make-Up Lessons

If you need to miss or reschedule a lesson, please let the instructor know as soon as possible — preferably at least 24 hours before the lesson start time.

The instructor will do her best to accommodate rescheduling when possible, but make-up lessons are subject to availability and are not guaranteed, especially for short-notice cancellations.

Instructor Cancellations

If the instructor needs to cancel a lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled when possible, or no payment will be due.

Late Arrivals

If a student arrives late, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time.

Weather, Illness, and Emergencies

In the case of illness, severe weather, or other emergencies, lessons may be moved online, rescheduled, or canceled when necessary.

In-Home Lesson Expectations

For in-home lessons, students should have access to a suitable piano or keyboard in a quiet lesson space. For younger students, a parent or responsible adult should be present at home during the lesson.

Weekly Lesson Time Slots

Because each weekly lesson time is reserved specifically for that student, repeated or excessive absences may result in the loss of the regular weekly time slot. If a time slot becomes available, it may be offered to a student on the waiting list.

Communication

Email is the preferred method of communication for scheduling, cancellations, and lesson-related questions.
